March Break Activities

On Tuesday, March 12, we welcomed author-illustrator Rebecca Bender to the Library. Her presentation was amazing! Many thanks to CFUW (Canadian Federation of University Women) for sponsoring March Break author visits & for supporting literacy in our communities.

Time for change

Clocks have changed, and so has some of the Library. The Port Colborne Public Library has been very busy lately, renovating and updating the Adult Non-Fiction room and the Adult Fiction room, with new carpet and new shelving. We’ve kept the Library open throughout, with very little interruption for our patrons and staff. Please ask for assistance if you are having trouble locating an item, a staff member is always available to help locate the new (possibly temporary) location.

We have a new November/December newsletter, check it out here. We will have an open house to celebrate our changes, on Saturday, December 1, please drop by 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

We appreciate your patience with our updating and promise it will be completed soon. We do have to close the Library on Monday, November 19, due to health and safety reasons while the Children’s room is renovated as well.

Games galore. Power Off and Play!

The Port Colborne Public Library is always looking to give our patrons new experiences.

We now have a wide variety of board games to check out and enjoy at home, (or stay and play, you are welcome to set up at one of our tables and enjoy some time together).

Games go out for one week on an adult card and are renewable for an additional week. You may place holds on games, and they can be found by searching the card catalogue under title “games” and limiting your search to Shelf Location “board games”.

This fun initiative is in partnership with Healthy Kids Community Challenge Niagara.
