You are Cordially Invited to a Prince & Princess Tea.

Film Screening – Josiah

Josiah Henson was the real-life inspiration for Harriet Beecher Stowe’s 1852 novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin, however his personal story has largely been forgotten. This documentary traces Josiah Henson’s harrowing journey from slavery in Maryland and Kentucky to freedom in Southwestern Ontario.

Join us for this special pre-release screening of Josiah and enjoy an after-show discussion of the film & film-maker Jared Brock’s new book The Road to Dawn: Josiah Henson and the story that sparked the Civil War.
