What We Offer

Access – The library is fully accessible with one designated parking space, wheelchair ramps on Elgin St. and King St., washroom facilities, and an elevator.

Art and Cultural Exhibits in the Atrium – Displaying the works of local artists and artisans. Call the library at 905-834-6512 to find out how you can display your art in the Atrium.

Books – Loan of regular and large print books.

Computer Access – Free access to the Internet including wireless, e-mail, electronic databases, reference titles, children’s titles, periodicals, and complete Microsoft Office Suite from public terminals.

Documentary Film Programme – Held the first Wednesday of each month, September to June, at 1:30 pm. Free admission & free refreshments. Call the library at 905-834-6512 for program details.

Interlibrary Loans – Requests filled from national and international sources.

Magazines and Newspapers – Local, national, and international newspapers and magazines. Access to full-text magazines in electronic format.

Microfilm Reader – Providing access to archival information on microfilm. Local newspapers from 1850 to present.

Reader’s Advisory – Library staff will make suggestions to satisfy your reading needs.

Reference – Answers to simple and complex inquiries.

Reserves – Reservation service for new and popular titles.

Services With Charges – Photocopies, computer print-outs, and programming.

Shut-In Service – Delivery of library materials by The Friends of the Library to patrons unable to visit the library due to short-term illness, physical disability, or age.

School Visits – Providing instruction in the use of the library to area schools. Classes scheduled October to May.

Summer Reading Club – July & August. Call the library for details.
